A few weeks ago I was invited by the lovely Clarins team at Broughton Park Boots to be the first to try out their launch of a fantastic new range of products.
I work really close to Broughton Park so I headed out on my lunch break to visit Beth and Jess, two lovely ladies who know everything you need to know about skincare and beauty. I always love getting my make up done by somebody else as you always pick up on a few tips that you can put into your daily routine to enhance your look! I’ll be sharing a few of those tips in this post.

We focussed on skincare and avoided the eye make up so we kicked off with removing my foundation with the Water Comfort One-Step Cleanser with Peach Essential Water which smells like actual holidays.
We then prepped my skin with the RE-BOOST Comforting Hydrating Cream, which feels amazing on the skin, and a spritz of RE-FRESH Hydrating Beauty Mist as I have quite dry skin.

I was really impressed with their My CLARINS skincare range, designed especially for those aged 25 and under (only one more year!) and is vegan friendly. My favourite thing from the collection has to be the RE-BOOST Comforting Hydrating Cream as it made my skin feel silky smooth!
Then onto the make-up. We began with the SOS Primer – 00 Universal Light, which is absolutely stunning on the skin. It contains Organic Sea Lily to provide 24-hour hydration whilst allowing the skin to breathe. If you’re looking for a new primer I couldn’t recommend this one more. I usually wear Laura Mercier Radiance primer but thinking this one might be my next purchase.

We used the Everlasting Youth Foundation in shade 102.5 Porcelain in foundation to give a glow look to the skin. Did you know that beauticians recommend using anti-aging products from the age of 25? Nope, neither did I, but now you know what I’ll be asking for, for my 25th birthday!
We topped off the foundation with some Instant Conceal. I never usually add my concealer after foundation but Beth told me it was a good way to blend it in to the foundation and cover those problem areas.
And the moment we were all waiting for, the brand new Joli Blush! We used both the Cheeky Boum and Cheeky Brown colours as I don’t really suit a heavy pink blush. What’s great about these blushes is they build really well, they’re subtle but beautifully pigmented so that you don’t look like you’re in drag with one stroke!
We finished off the look with the new Intense Natural Lip Protecter in Rosebud which immediately makes your lips feel hydrated without the tackiness of most usual lip glosses.
And voila, the final look!

Now I wouldn’t blame you for thinking what’s so different about Clarins than any other make up counter across the country? Well, what I particularly loved is their My Clarins app. Every product Beth used on me she very cleverly popped the details into the app and after the appointment I received a personalised email with all the product information in it. This is so useful as it tells you the exact colour she used but also a little description about the ingredients and how best to apply it. I loved it because there was no pressure to buy anything straight away as they also gave you samples to try at home. I’ve started compiling my Christmas list already!

A huge thank you to the girls at Clarins in Boots, Broughton Park for the gifted make over and goody bag! Be sure to pop in to your local Clarins soon or check out their website.
